I totally enjoy your videos just seeing the small part of them I have already. I am probably jumping the gun in asking this, but have you found a good way around the Esc thing going from Insert to Normal? I seem to find that Alt-l (Alt with lower case L) seems to work well for older versions of vim (and for gvim) and also for the bash line (when one does set -o vi). Therefore when I find a vim or vi that won't, I probably will do an imap to make it so. What do you think?

Hi Derek,
I just wanted to stop by and say 'thanks' for your great videos/lessons/insights on vim. I'm using vim now for about a year but I never really got past the simple (nevertheless useful) standard commands. Your videos do an incredible job for getting past that barrier and exploring the endless possibilities of vim ;)

I'm looking forward to your next videos (preferably of the intermediate/advanced section)

Keep up the fantastic work!

Thanks Greg. I'm definitely trying to get to the more intermediate/advanced topics now. The basics had to be covered first after I realized that my audience was much more receptive to that stuff but now we should be ready to move on to some more fun topics :)
